Abstract

ABSTRAK Aisyah Nur Kholifah “PERBEDAAN VARIASI LAMA KONTAK WAKTU AERASI TERHADAP PENURUNAN KADAR BESI (Fe) PADA AIR BERSIH DENGAN METODE BUBBLE AERATOR” xiv + 62 Halaman + 9 Tabel + 5 Gambar + 14 Lampiran Air bersih yang mengandung kadar besi (Fe) tinggi berdampak bagi kesehatan. Maka diperlukan pengolahan air bersih dengan cara aerasi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui variasi lama kontak waktu aerasi bubble aerator terhadap penurunan kadar besi (Fe) pada air bersih. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Quasi Eksperimen, dengan desain One Group Pretest and Posttest Without Control. Variabel bebasnya adalah lama waktu aerasi, sedangkan variabel terikatnya adalah penurunan kadar besi (Fe) pada air bersih. Penelitian ini menggunakan Uji ANOVA Satu Arah dengan perlakuan waktu sebelum perlakuan, 70 menit, 75 menit, dan 80 menit. Setiap kelompok diulang sebanyak enam kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan dalam penurunan kadar besi (Fe) dengan variasi waktu aerasi 70 menit sebesar 78,87%, waktu aerasi selama 75 menit sebesar 81,49%, dan waktu aerasi selama 80 menit sebesar 83,53%. Hasil analisis Uji Anova Satu Arah ialah ada perbedaan variasi lama kontak waktu aerasi terhadap penurunan kadar besi (Fe) pada air bersih dengan metode bubble aerator. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa variasi lama kontak waktu terdapat perbedaan dalam menurunkan kadar besi (Fe) pada air bersih. Pada penelitian selanjutnya dapat melanjutkan penelitian ini namun disarankan menambahkan proses filtrasi sebagai proses lanjutan untuk menjernihkan air yang berubah warna karena adanya kadar besi (Fe). Therefore, clean water treatment through aeration is necessary. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of varying the contact time of aeration with a bubble aerator on reducing iron (Fe) levels in clean water. This study used a quasi-experimental method, with a one-group pretest and posttest design without control. The independent variable was the aeration time, while the dependent variable was the reduction in iron (Fe) levels in clean water. This study used a one-way ANOVA test with treatment times of 70 minutes, 75 minutes, and 80 minutes. Each group was replicated six times. The results showed a significant difference in the reduction of iron (Fe) levels with a variation of 70 minutes of aeration time (78.87%), 75 minutes of aeration time (81.49%), and 80 minutes of aeration time (83.53%). The one-way ANOVA analysis showed a significant difference in the reduction of iron (Fe) levels in clean water using the bubble aerator method. The research results showed that varying contact time significantly reduced iron (Fe) levels in clean water. Future research could continue this study, but it is recommended that filtration be added as a secondary process to clarify water discolored by iron (Fe) levels.
