Abstract

“PENURUNAN KADAR BESI (Fe) MENGGUNAKAN METODE AERASI-FILTRASI PADA AIR SUMUR GALI” 68 Halaman + 7 Tabel + 6 Gambar + 4 Lampiran Air memegang peranan yang sangat vital dalam aktivitas sehari-hari. memiliki kaitan erat dengan makhluk hidup khususnya manusia. Hasil pemeriksaan di air sumur gali terletak di Desa Sawojajar mendapatkan hasil 1,146 Mg/L dimana hasil terbilang tinggi. Berdasarkan masalah yang dijelaskan peniliti menggunakan metode kombinasi aerasi-filtrasi. Penelitian ini dirancang untuk memahami pengaruh filtrasi sederhana terhadap pengurangan kandungan Fe di air sumur gali dengan perlakuan waktu aerasi 60, 90, 120 menit. Desain yang diterapka adalah eksperimen kualitatif dengan tahapan pretest dan posttest. Aerasi dilaksanakan menggunakan bubble aerator dengan perlakuan waktu 60, 90, dan 120 menit Desain filtrasi yang digunakan adalah desain up flow. Material yang digunakan sebagai filtrasi adalah batu ziolit, pasir mangan, karbon aktif. Menurut hasil kajian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penurunan kadar Fe tertinggi terjadi pada aerasi variasi waktu kontak 90 menit, yaitu mencapai 0,57 mg/L atau sebesar 32,8%. Saran yang dapat digunakan adalah metode aerasi minimal 90 dan tidak lebih dari 120 menit, filtrasi dengan penambahan ketebalan lebih dari 10 cm. It is closely related to living things, especially humans. Tests on dug well water in Sawojajar Village yielded a high level of 1,146 mg/L. Based on the problem described, the researchers employed a combined aeration-filtration method. This study was designed to understand the effect of simple filtration on reducing Fe content in dug well water with aeration times of 60, 90, and 120 minutes. The design used was a qualitative experiment with pretest and posttest stages. Aeration was carried out using a bubble aerator with treatment times of 60, 90, and 120 minutes. The filtration design used was an upflow design. The filtration materials used were zeolite, manganese sand, and activated carbon. The study concluded that the highest reduction in Fe content occurred with aeration with a contact time of 90 minutes, reaching 0.57 mg/L, or 32.8%.
